Job summary

We Are Social Amsterdam is seeking a Social Media Manager Intern to join our Creative team. You’ll work with experienced creatives and social specialists, gaining hands-on experience managing day-to-day client social channels and learning how brands show up in culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in communications, media, marketing, or a related field.
• Availability for a full-time paid internship for at least 5 months.
• A genuine passion for social media, internet culture, and current online trends.
• Keen interest in social platforms, trends, creators, and developments.
• A sharp instinct for tone of voice, timing and authentic brand conversation.
• Basic knowledge of social media management tools is a plus.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English (C1/C2) and Dutch (C1/C2) is essential.
• No prior agency or brand experience required-but passion for social media and the creative industry is key.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of client social channels.
• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and conversations across platforms.
• Spot opportunities for brands to join conversations around trends or viral content.
• Assist reactive and proactive community management using tools like Sprinklr.
• Tag and categorize conversations and content accurately.
• Flag and route customer service-related comments to the right teams.
• Support content planning, posting, and scheduling; ensure posts go live as planned.
• Learn how different brands find their voice and build community relationships.
