About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Golang Platform Engineer to join the Container Technology & Operations team within Platform Engineering. This role focuses on designing, developing, automating, and operating strategic Kubernetes‑based platform services that enable application teams across the bank to build, deploy, and run secure, scalable, and resilient workloads.

You will work across engineering, infrastructure, security, architecture, risk, and operations teams to deliver reliable platform capabilities while ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Development

• Design, develop, and operate Kubernetes‑based platform services using Golang.
• Build secure, scalable, and resilient container platform capabilities.
• Implement cloud‑native architectural patterns and automation workflows.

Automation, CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code

• Develop automation for platform operations, deployments, and lifecycle management.
• Work with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Argo CD, Flux, and IaC frameworks.
• Enhance developer experience through tooling and platform improvements.

Container & Cloud Technologies

• Operate and optimize enterprise container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Implement service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Work with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for hybrid/multi‑cloud workloads.

Observability & Reliability

• Build and maintain monitoring dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
• Improve observability, alerting, and reliability engineering practices.
• Support incident response and collaborate with operations teams to ensure platform stability.

Collaboration & Governance

• Partner with security, risk, architecture, and compliance teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation.

Must‑Have Skills

• 10+ years of software/platform engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Golang development.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, container technologies, and cloud‑native architectures.
• Experience with Linux, networking, IaC, CI/CD, and automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, automated deployments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Kubernetes certifications: CKA, CKAD, CKS.
• Experience with OpenShift or other enterprise container platforms.
• Knowledge of Istio, Linkerd, or other service mesh technologies.
• Experience with Argo CD, Flux, or other GitOps tools.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
