Job summary

GEA Group seeks a hands-on Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee TIG welding and piping tasks across customer sites in the Netherlands. You will plan maintenance, organize permits, and lead mechanical teams on site.

You will ensure safety compliance, report progress to the project manager, manage materials and costs, and maintain a clean, safe workplace while coordinating with customers and other subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Mechanical training and experience including TIG welding and thin-wall piping in the food industry.
• VCA-VOL safety certificate for Operational Supervisors.
• Experience leading teams on site.
• Willing to work at different customer locations in the Netherlands and possibly Belgium.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and supervising mechanical work (TIG welding / piping).
• Planning maintenance and mechanical work on machinery and installations.
• Organizing and monitoring work permits and safety compliance.
• Providing instructions to mechanical technicians and subcontractors.
• Supervising work activities and HSE compliance.
• Managing return of materials and tools; reporting progress to the project manager.
• Maintaining clean and safe workplaces; completing incident reports when needed.
• Acting as the contact between GEA and the customer; cost control within hours budget.
