Job description

Our client is a high-tech company developing advanced systems at the cutting edge of innovation. They combine applied mathematics, sensor technology, and system integration to create solutions where precision, modelling accuracy, and performance are mission-critical.

As a Simulation Engineer, you will play a key role in translating complex mathematical concepts into high-performance simulation models for advanced applications.

You will focus on modelling and simulating how objects are detected, tracked, and localized. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling challenging mathematical problems and turning theory into practical system-level solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop advanced mathematical models and simulation models for geolocation and tracking systems.
  • Design and build simulation environments in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Model and analyse data from GPS receivers, radar systems, and other sensor inputs.
  • Work on tracking algorithms and system behaviour, such as triangulation, filtering, and prediction.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across systems, radar, and software engineering.
  • Validate and optimise system performance through simulation and data analysis.
  • Bridge the gap between theoretical modelling and real-world system implementation.
What we expect
  • MSc or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive or defence industry.
  • Experience with sensor technology is a must.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, modelling, and numerical methods.
  • Proven experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Affinity with simulation, system dynamics, and algorithm development.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Able to work on complex and abstract technical challenges and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of: geolocation, GPS, radar and sensor systems as well as signal processing or tracking algorithms are preferred.
  • Knowledge of C++ is an advantage.
What we offer
  • 33 vacation days, holiday and travel allowance.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • Opportunity to join a new and growing Eindhoven office.
  • Work on highly advanced systems with real-world impact.
  • Plenty of room for technical growth and further specialization.
