Job summary

HR-OFFICE GmbH is seeking a Team Leader – Manufacturing to manage the shop floor in the Rotterdam area. You will directly supervise a team of about 25 assembly technicians, ensuring a safe, productive, and compliant production environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, daily production control, and active process improvement using Lean, 5S, and Kaizen practices. Collaboration with Production Managers and support teams is essential for sustained performance.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate at MBO 4 level or master craftsman in an industrial field such as Mechatronics, Structural Steelwork, or Mechanical Fitting.
• Hands-on leadership experience as Team Leader, Shift Supervisor, or Werkmeester in an industrial setting.
• Experience with LEAN, 5S and Kaizen on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Shop Floor Leadership: supervise and mentor a team of around 25 assembly technicians to maintain a safe, motivated, and productive environment.
• Daily Production Control: monitor workflow to meet output targets, quality requirements, and delivery deadlines.
• Shift & Personnel Planning: manage shift schedules, staffing allocations, and capacity during peak times or absences.
• Hands-on Process Improvement: drive continuous improvement initiatives with 5S and Kaizen to reduce waste and optimize workflows.
• Interface Function: coordinate daily with Production Managers, Work Preparation, administrative support, and other Team Leaders.
