Shell invites motivated students to join the Shell Assessed Internship Programme in the Netherlands, spanning technical and commercial areas across Rotterdam, The Hague, Pernis or Amsterdam. You will work on meaningful projects with a supervisor and mentor guiding your development from day one.

You will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with experienced colleagues, and have regular assessments to maximise learning and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

  • You must be studying towards your Master’s in the Netherlands (WO level).
  • There are no specific academic requirements for grades, however we expect candidates to have a strong academic record.
  • You must be lawfully authorized to work in the country you’re applying for.

An Assessed Internship is an excellent way to get to know Shell from the inside and immerse yourself in the energy industry. It can also help you decide what career is right for you.

Eligibility

You should enjoy being challenged and welcome the opportunity to be innovative. You also need to be good at absorbing information, analysing problems, making objective decisions, and coming up with original ideas. You should have the drive, and resilience to get things done, the flexibility to work well as part of a team and the credibility to influence others. As you'll be assessed entirely on how well you perform during your internship, you could even secure an offer to join Shell full-time when you graduate - without the need for a further interview.
