Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Service Technician for the Hollandse Kust Zuid offshore wind farm. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and support both onshore and offshore logistics while following strict safety and documentation standards.

You will join a collaborative team focused on reliability, safety, and efficiency, with rotating 2 weeks on/off schedules and opportunities to grow with a global renewable energy leader.

Qualifications

• Vocational degree or technical diploma in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance.
• 0–5 years of experience in a technical/industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety in a team setting.
• Willingness to obtain NEN electrical qualifications as required.
• Open to a 2 weeks on/off rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbine systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical).
• Assist senior technicians in troubleshooting routine malfunctions under supervision.
• Execute basic repairs on turbine equipment using standard hand and power tools.
• Support warehouse operations when not offshore, ensuring smooth logistics.
• Adhere to EHS protocols, especially high‑risk activities such as work at heights and with high voltage.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components, following standard procedures.
• Assist senior technicians in troubleshooting and diagnosing routine malfunctions on wind turbines under close supervision.
• Execute basic repairs on turbine equipment using standard hand and power tools according to detailed work instructions.
• Support warehouse operations when not offshore, ensuring smooth logistical processes.
• Adhere strictly to all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, particularly when working at heights and with high-voltage systems.

What You Bring

• A vocational degree or technical diploma (e.g., BTS, DUT) in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Maintenance. Equivalent experience also considered.
• 0‑5 years of experience in a technical or industrial environment; candidates directly from vocational/technical school are encouraged to apply.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to working safely in a supervised, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to obtain NEN electrical qualifications as required for the role.
• Open to working on a 2 weeks on‑2 weeks off rotation shift.
