Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. through Howden Netherlands in Hengelo is seeking a Technician to support cooling fan systems within our European operations. Under supervision you will disassemble and assemble components, perform alignment, vibration checks, and test runs while ensuring quality and safety standards.

We require an MBO technical background and at least two years of technician experience. You will prepare materials and tools, follow instructions, and contribute to on-time project delivery in

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Technician position.
• Technical background in mechanical engineering or similar field.

Howden Netherlands in Hengelo is part of Chart Industries and is the "Center of Excellence" for cooling fans, with production facilities in Europe and China. The fans are used in cooling towers, air-cooled steam condensers and air-cooled heat exchangers for use a wide range of markets like power, oil & gas, chemical and HVAC (datacenters). What Will You Do?

• Make the necessary preparation based on the scope of work and collect the required materials and tools to be fully prepared to prevent delays according to the instructions of the (Senior) Service Engineer


• Under supervision of the (Senior) Service Engineer perform activities such as disassembly and assembly, protocol, installation, adjustment, alignment, vibration analysis, transportation, lifting and test runs


• Control of own performed work and corrects where needed.


• Ask questions shows initiative to further develop own technical knowledge


• Provide simple week and time lists Takes initiatives to ensure work runs optimally.


• Follows up on set quality and safety requirements. Observes and reports unsafe situations. Contributes to the improvement of own safety

What do you bring?
