Partner Company in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Search) – Web Rendering Engineer to own and evolve rendering infrastructure for AI-powered search tasks. You will design systems that transform modern web apps into high-quality content for real-time reasoning, spanning browser rendering, CDP, and large-scale pipelines.

The role blends browser technology with distributed systems, delivering reliable production platforms while tackling cost, latency, and throughput

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
Deep expertise in browser rendering and modern web infrastructure.
Strong understanding of the Chromium rendering pipeline (DOM, Layout, Paint, Compositing).
Strong knowledge of JavaScript execution, rendering lifecycles, and page readiness.
Experience with headless browser execution and Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP).
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or comparable frameworks.
Strong understanding of React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte.
Experience with SSR/CSR/Streaming/SPA/Progressive Web Apps.
Understanding of resource loading, lazy loading, and modern JS bundles.
Experience designing high-throughput content pipelines at internet scale is valuable.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems design and performance optimization.
Open-source contributions or talks are a plus.
Willingness to participate in coding interviews.

Responsibilities

Design and build large-scale rendering systems capable of processing modern web applications at internet scale.
Develop browser-based infrastructure for executing complex JavaScript and capturing rendered content.
Research how modern frontend frameworks render content across architectures and environments.
Improve rendering quality, completeness, reliability, and performance across websites.
Optimize rendering infrastructure for cost, latency, throughput, and scalability.
Investigate browser rendering behavior, page readiness, resource loading, and dynamic content execution.
Translate research into reliable, maintainable production systems.
Address large-scale infra challenges including bursty workloads, caching, and multi-region setups.
Take end-to-end ownership of rendering infrastructure and influence system decisions.
Collaborate with teams to ensure rendering supports agentic search and AI workloads.
