Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of our partner in the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior System Engineer (Virtual Private Cloud Team) to build and operate the core networking layer of a large-scale cloud platform. You will work on virtual private networking for reliable connectivity across distributed datacenters.

The role combines Go control-plane development with C-based dataplane work, tackling IPv6, VPC peering, load balancing, and security services.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in systems/ networking/ infrastructure engineering or related field.
• Strong ability to write reliable, efficient, and high-performance concurrent code.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang).
• Ability to read and understand C and/or C++, or willingness to develop these skills.
• Understanding of how network traffic is routed in modern networking systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate the VPC networking layer for cloud workloads.
• Design scalable and resilient networking services for virtualized environments.
• Develop and maintain the control plane using Go.
