Job summary

Riverty is seeking a Senior User Researcher, Consumer to drive human-centered research across Europe. You’ll work with UX designers, service designers, and data teams, shaping product direction with qualitative and quantitative insights.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in Amsterdam, Heerenveen, or Berlin, in a regionally distributed-hybrid setup. You’ll lead studies, synthesize findings, and advocate for customer needs while balancing business and technical

Qualifications

Extensive experience planning, conducting, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative user research.
Strong understanding of mixed-method approaches and selecting the right method for questions.
Ability to connect customer insights with business goals to influence strategy.
Experience collaborating with analytics, data science, or BI teams to combine evidence.
Excellent synthesis and storytelling to communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
Facilitation, stakeholder management, and influence across cross-functional teams.
Experience designing workshops for discovery, prioritisation, and decision making.
Strategic, analytical problem-solving and ability to identify opportunities beyond individual problems.
Familiarity with agile development and iterative environments.
Experience with AI-enabled research and research automation practices.

Responsibilities

Plan, conduct, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research to inform product decisions.
Identify customer needs, behaviours, motivations, and pain points via interviews, testing, surveys, and diaries.
Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for strategy and improvements.
Collaborate with Product, Designers, Engineers, Data Analysts, and Marketing to embed research throughout discovery and delivery.
Combine qualitative insights with analytics and business metrics to support evidence-based decisions.
Help teams identify opportunities by linking customer insights with market trends and product goals.
Design and run evaluative studies to validate concepts and measure outcomes.
Maintain research repositories and improve knowledge sharing across the organization.
Advocate for customer needs while balancing feasibility and business objectives.
