Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Senior Treasury Back Office & Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join its Amsterdam-based treasury team. You will manage end-to-end processing, settlement, accounting and regulatory reporting for a broad range of capital markets products in a dynamic, international environment.

Senior Treasury Back Office & Regulatory Reporting Specialist

A well-established international banking institution is seeking an experienced Senior Treasury Back Office & Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join its Amsterdam-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a treasury operations professional with a strong understanding of capital markets products, regulatory reporting, and financial market infrastructures to play a key role within a dynamic and international environment.

The Opportunity

In this position, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing, settlement, accounting, and regulatory reporting of treasury transactions across a broad range of products. Working closely with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and external counter-parties, you will help ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the smooth functioning of treasury activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full life cycle of treasury and capital markets transactions from validation to settlement.
• Perform trade confirmations, settlement instruction management, reconciliations, and exception handling.
• Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting to relevant authorities.
• Monitor treasury positions, cash flows, and accounting entries.
• Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, payment issues, and reconciliation discrepancies.
• Support liquidity, capital, prudential, and other regulatory reporting obligations.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, custodians, and counter-parties.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation initiatives, and system enhancement projects.
• Maintain operational procedures and ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulations.
• Support audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance reviews.

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 7+ years of experience within Treasury Operations, Treasury Back Office, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Markets Operations.
• Experience supporting treasury products and capital markets activities within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of transaction life-cycle management and settlement processes.

Product Knowledge

• Money Market Deposits
• FX Spot, Forward and Swap transactions
• Interest Rate Swaps
• Cross Currency Swaps
• Government and Corporate Bonds
• Debt Securities / EMTN programmes
• Repo transactions

Technical & Regulatory Expertise

• Knowledge of payment and settlement infrastructures including SWIFT, TARGET2/T2, Euroclear, and Clearstream.
• Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks and banking regulations.
• Familiarity with EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR, CSDR, and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with treasury management systems, market platforms, and core banking applications.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
