Job summary

A leading electric mobility firm in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Senior Treasury Manager to build and oversee the treasury function across Europe. The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience in treasury management, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess a genuine interest in the company's mission of promoting sustainable energy. This role includes developing treasury policies, managing external partnerships, and optimizing cash structures. The position supports a flexible work environment with various employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of relevant treasury experience with broad knowledge of treasury functions.
• Proven experience in establishing a treasury function, preferably in a scale-up environment.
• Genuine interest in the energy transition and alignment with Fastned’s mission.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus).

Senior Treasury Manager – Fastned (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Fastned is a fast‑growing B Corp dedicated to accelerating the transition to electric mobility. With over 400 colleagues across ten countries, we make it easy for electric drivers to charge up using 100% renewable energy from the sun and wind.

Role Overview

• Build and manage a treasury function across Fastned’s European operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic and operational treasury topics, guiding the company on treasury structures, business initiatives, cash efficiency, and treasury risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures and controls across cash management, bank finance, interest rate & FX hedging, FX trading, subsidiary capitalisation and guarantees.
• Address systems and tools requirements to scale the organisation.
• Provide ongoing education to relevant teams across the organisation.
• Professionalise all treasury processes including cash management, cash pooling, intercompany flows, bank finance and subsidiary capitalisation.
• Oversee and execute all bank guarantee requests and manage guarantee risk.
• Manage external banks, auditors, and advisors on treasury topics.
• Support finance and business teams with ad‑hoc treasury questions.
• Ensure funds are available where needed and optimise intercompany structures.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance or related field.
• 7–15 years of relevant treasury experience with knowledge across all treasury function areas.
• Proven experience setting up or being part of establishing a treasury function – scale‑up experience is a significant plus.
• A hands‑on initiator with ownership mentality and ability to work independently.
• Strong eye for detail, critical thinking and pragmatic approach to balancing strategic advice with operational execution.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus).
• Genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned’s mission.
