Job summary

AECOM Netherlands is seeking a Technical Lead for Transmission & Distribution to oversee high voltage projects (>110kV), substations, grid connections and powerline works from inception to completion. You will guide technical teams, ensure standards compliance, safety and successful project delivery in a dynamic multinational setting.

The role requires strong electrical engineering background, stakeholder coordination, and mentorship across the project lifecycle within the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in high voltage design and grid integration.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on complex T&D projects.
• Strong knowledge of standards for HV substations and transmission lines.
• Ability to manage project delivery from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering and delivery of HV substations and grid projects (>110kV).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders across the Netherlands.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings and documentation per regulations.
• Mentor team members and ensure safety and quality during execution.
• Support bids, risk assessments and cost estimation for T&D works.
