Job summary

Cloudflare in Amsterdam (hybrid) is seeking an experienced software developer for the Application Security team. You’ll design systems, write code, and help scale live services while embracing modern tools like Go or Rust, Kubernetes, and distributed architectures.

You'll work with engineers, product managers, and security experts to detect emerging web risks and keep Cloudflare at internet scale. A strong focus on security mindset and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a software developer.
• Proficiency with at least one of Go or Rust.
• Exposure to devops tooling like Kubernetes, Salt, Kafka or Systemd.
• Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale; cybersecurity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and write code following industry best practices.
• Deploy and maintain live software services at scale; participate in on-call rota.
• Support and mentor other engineers.
• Stay updated on security trends affecting web applications and Cloudflare products.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to execute the roadmap.
