Job summary

Sire Search is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner & SAP Systems Specialist for its Lochem site in the Netherlands. The role combines advanced supply chain planning with SAP expertise, acting as a key user for SAP, including EWM and OMP, and providing functional support to planning and logistics teams.

You will analyse processes, implement improvements, and back up the Planning & Logistics Manager and production schedulers when needed.

Qualifications

• HBO/WO level education or equivalent.
• Affinity with process manufacturing or food industry preferred; dairy experience advantageous.
• Extensive SAP experience, especially EWM and OMP.
• Experience with MES or integrated planning systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex logistics.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize supply chains.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Act as SAP key user with EWM and OMP, interfacing with MES systems.

Role Description

As a Senior Supply Chain Planner & SAP Systems Specialist, you will play a key role within the Planning & Logistics team at the Lochem site. You will combine supply chain planning expertise with strong SAP systems knowledge, acting as a key user for SAP, including Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Operational Manufacturing Planning (OMP).

You will provide functional support to the planning and logistics organisation, help resolve complex operational and system-related issues, and contribute to improvements across planning and logistics processes. Where required, you will also provide backup support to the Planning & Logistics Manager and production schedulers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key user for SAP, including Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Operational Manufacturing Planning (OMP), with connections to MES systems.
• Provide functional support and guidance to planning and logistics teams on complex SAP, EWM, OMP, and MES-related issues.
• Support the logistics and planning department with day-to-day operational topics, challenges, and supply chain issues.
• Analyse operational and logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
• Actively contribute to the implementation of process improvements and solutions for complex logistics and planning challenges.
• Provide backup support to the Planning & Logistics Manager when required.
• Provide backup support to production schedulers across the manufacturing site when necessary.
• Work closely with planning, logistics, manufacturing, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational processes.
• Support users with SAP and Microsoft Office applications and help improve the effective use of digital planning and logistics tools.
• Contribute to a collaborative and continuously improving planning and logistics environment.

Requirement

• HBO/WO working and thinking level, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Technical Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Affinity with process manufacturing or the food industry is required; experience within the dairy industry is an advantage.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with SAP, particularly EWM and OMP.
• Experience working with MES or integrated manufacturing planning systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex logistics and operational challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and optimise supply chain processes.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Team-oriented, flexible, and able to remain effective in a dynamic and sometimes stressful operational environment.
