Job summary

Together AI in Amsterdam is building the AI Native Cloud, an end-to-end platform for the generative AI lifecycle. As Staff Software Engineer focusing on AI Compute, you will set technical direction and build major components of the next generation cloud infrastructure.

You will own virtualization of GPU data centers, design the global management plane, and mentor engineers while shaping standards and open-source contributions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert in at least one backend language (Golang preferred).
• Experience with architecture of large distributed systems at scale.
• Deep experience in globally distributed microservices across clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for design docs.

Responsibilities

• Own the GPU and network virtualization stack across heterogeneous hardware.
• Architect and roadmap in-DC IaaS services and Kubernetes operators.
• Design GPU scheduling and the global management plane for on-demand clusters.
• Architect monitoring and automated remediation for fault tolerance.
• Set technical direction and standards across multiple teams.
• Grow the team by mentoring engineers and raising hiring bar.
• Create testing frameworks and developer docs for the platform.
