Job summary

CS GROUP, in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, seeks an experienced Space Segment Engineer to provide engineering support for design, development and verification of space systems. You will contribute across segment and subsystem levels, and support industrial milestone reviews in collaboration with ESA.

The role requires a Masters in Aerospace and at least 8 years of experience in space segment engineering, with strong systems engineering and verification knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Space Segment Engineering.
• Background in systems engineering, ground systems, or space mission operations.
• Knowledge of integration and verification processes for complex technical systems.
• Experience with test procedures preparation and execution.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support related to the space segment design, development and verification.
• Support space engineering in scope including industrial reviews and procurement activities.
• Assist at segment and subsystem level and review architecture definition for space segment.
• Conduct requirements engineering and consolidation as part of the program.
• Prepare for and participate in industrial milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, QR, IOVR).
• Produce technical notes, trade-off reports and DCN contributions.
