Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Solutions Engineer in the Netherlands to lead the technical sales process, translating complex data challenges into actionable architectures using Cloudera tech and reference designs.

You will partner with Account Managers, demonstrate products, explore use cases, and advocate for customer needs with Product and Engineering. 5+ years in customer-facing roles and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a customer-facing role, ideally in pre-sales.
• Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases.
• One or more of AWS, Azure or GCP; formal certs are a plus.
• Unix or Linux proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn and drive customer success.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales (customer satisfaction, upsell, renewals).
• Support customers by discovering new use cases for Cloudera’s technology.
• Design solutions for customers using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customers to say yes.
• Partner with Account Managers to show customer value and drive sales.
• Present product roadmap and vision to inspire bigger thinking.
• Interface with other Cloudera teams to maintain one voice for customers.
• Advocate for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering.
• Participate in external publicity and evangelism (conferences, meetups, blogs).
