Job summary

the company based in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Specialist Solutions Engineer to guide customers on big data workloads using the Lakehouse Platform, with emphasis on cloud infrastructure and security.

You will work with Field Engineering pre‑sales teams, travel up to 30% for customer visits and events, and contribute to architecture, security design, and automation. The initial 12‑month fixed‑term contract may convert to full‑time on successful probation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing cloud infrastructure and security across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Hands-on with cloud automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
• Experience with security lakehouse/data platform.
• Experience guiding pre-sales/post-sales engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers to successful implementations on big data projects, including architecture, security design, development and deployment best practices.
• Assist solution architects with advanced aspects of technical sales, including PoCs, workload sizing and custom architectures.
• Architect production‑level cloud native workloads and ensure security governance on Lakehouse Platform.
• Lead workshops and presentations to promote adoption within the customer community.
