Contract Type: PAYROLL ONLY - ZZP / Freelance / Self-Employed NOT ACCEPTED
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead the design of an end-to-end Product Consumption Architecture within a large, international financial services organisation.
This is a strategic architecture assignment focused on transforming how internal digital products and technology services are requested, consumed, managed and financially accounted for across a complex enterprise environment.
The successful candidate will define the target-state solution architecture, identify gaps within the existing technology landscape and develop a realistic implementation roadmap to support a scalable, standardised product consumption model.
You will work alongside senior enterprise architects, domain architects, technology leaders and business stakeholders to establish a unified architectural direction across multiple business and technology domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of an integrated end-to-end solution architecture covering digital product consumption and service management.
- Architect processes spanning forecasting, pricing, digital contracting, ordering, consumption, charging and invoicing.
- Translate strategic business objectives and product-oriented operating models into scalable, implementable architecture.
- Analyse existing enterprise applications, processes, information flows and integration dependencies.
- Define target-state architectures, solution blueprints and transition architectures.
- Design and optimise business processes, system interactions, information flows and enterprise integrations.
- Work with platforms such as ServiceNow, Pega and enterprise financial/cost management systems.
- Collaborate with senior architects across multiple domains to achieve architectural alignment.
- Lead complex technical discussions, challenge existing design decisions and resolve competing architectural priorities.
- Identify architecture gaps, technical dependencies, implementation risks and transformation opportunities.
- Develop practical implementation roadmaps, including transition phases, milestones and dependencies.
- Present architecture decisions, trade-offs and recommendations to senior technology and business leadership.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks.
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Solution Architect, Lead Solution Architect or equivalent within large enterprise environments.
- Proven experience designing complex, end-to-end enterprise solutions spanning multiple business and technology domains.
- Strong expertise in business architecture, process architecture and information architecture.
- Experience translating business operating models and strategic transformation objectives into technical solution designs.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration, system dependencies, information flows and architecture governance.
- Hands-on experience assessing complex existing IT landscapes and designing target-state architectures.
- Demonstrable experience developing implementation roadmaps and transition architectures.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional architectural discussions involving senior stakeholders and domain architects.
- Experience evaluating architecture options, managing trade-offs and driving technical decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to influence senior decision-makers without direct reporting authority.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Product-Led Thinking, digital product operating models or product consumption architectures.
- Understanding of technology financial management, including pricing, forecasting, cost allocation, consumption charging and invoicing.
- Knowledge of FinOps, Technology Business Management (TBM) or Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Experience working with ServiceNow, Pega or comparable workflow and enterprise service management platforms.
- Experience delivering enterprise-wide operating model or digital transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with technology product catalogues, service consumption frameworks and internal digital marketplaces.
- Previous experience within banking, financial services or highly regulated enterprise organisations.
