Job summary

WLG is seeking a Test Engineer in The Hague to own quality for critical software used in command and control contexts. You will translate requirements into concrete test plans, design cases for functional and performance testing, and probe the system with SQL queries.

You will run API tests using Postman/SOAPUI, decide manual vs automated coverage, and track issues in JIRA. A meticulous, problem‑solving mindset is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Turn requirements into structured test artefacts, not just executing scripts.
• Must be able to write SQL and perform hands‑on API testing.
• Experience with JIRA or similar issue trackers in daily use.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and logical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and write structured test plans, cases and scenarios.
• Decide what to test manually vs. automatically across functional, regression, performance and security.
• Query databases directly in SQL to verify application behavior.
• Test APIs using Postman, SOAPUI or equivalent tools.
• Log, manage and chase issues through JIRA and related systems.
