Job summary

Flow Traders is expanding its post-trade platform and seeks a Senior Software Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of key post-trade domains. You will shape platform architecture while building reliable, automated, and data-driven services across equities, ETFs, fixed income, and crypto.

This role suits engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, thinking in systems, and delivering high-quality platforms with tangible business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building distributed backend systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Hands-on experience building data-intensive systems, ETL pipelines, and analytical data solutions.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Proven ability to own complex technical domains from design through production support.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop critical post-trade domains such as reconciliation, settlement, booking, and reporting.
• Work closely with Trading, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Data teams to understand workflows and requirements.
• Design and build scalable backend services and data pipelines.
• Improve automation, data quality, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the target architecture and technical roadmap of the post-trade platform.
• Ensure observability, reliability, and data correctness across systems.
