Job summary

Navico Group in Amsterdam, Netherlands is seeking a Software Engineer I to design, develop and enhance software within the Power Systems PD&E division. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle under mentorship, gaining hands-on experience in embedded systems and marine technologies.

Under senior engineers, you will participate in code reviews, testing and documentation, grow your skills in scalable architectures and CI/CD, and collaborate with product and engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, Windows/desktop basics and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Advanced knowledge of electronics and embedded systems.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including system design and implementation.
• Expertise in software architecture, scalable system design, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and development frameworks (e.g., Python, C#, .Net MAUI).
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance software systems.
• Facilitate technical design sessions and conduct in-depth code reviews.
