Job summary

Essent is hiring a Senior Software Engineer Journey Analytics to advance the data platform and analytics capabilities. You will work across engineering, analytics, marketing and personalisation to build reliable, scalable data pipelines and governance.

• Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js in production systems.
• Proficient in CI/CD, preferably GitLab CI, and IaC tooling (AWS CDK, Terraform).
• Strong background in data pipelines, event-driven architectures and analytics tracking.

• Further developing our data pipeline, with a focus on reliability, automation, scalability and governance
• Integrating analytics solutions with websites, apps, marketing platforms and other digital systems
• Developing and maintaining shared measurement standards, identification conventions and data collection rules
• Advising teams on technical and functional decisions within analytics, marketing and personalisationImproving code, architecture, development processes and collaboration between different teams

• You have extensive experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript environments and Node.js
• You have experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery, preferably using GitLab CI
• You have experience with Infrastructure as Code and technologies such as AWS CDK, Terraform and Docker
• You have experience with data pipelines, event-driven architecture and designing, building or managing analytics and tracking solutions
• You have experience with technical decision-making and stakeholder management within a complex organisation

Experience with RudderStack, Segment, Amplitude, session replay, A/B testing, Angular, React Native, data engineering or marketing technology is an advantage.
