Job summary

Demcon in Groningen is looking for a senior software engineer to lead software architecture for complex mechatronic machines. You will define standards, select components, and translate customer specifications into scalable software solutions within a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll work with BRIX on TwinCAT 3 and Beckhoff hardware, coach other engineers, participate in testing and commissioning, and help elevate project quality and performance while safeguarding software quality.

Qualifications

• Completed HBO or WO degree in a software-related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in industrial automation, machine building or mechatronic systems.
• Extensive experience with object-oriented software development and structured software architectures.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead within the software domain and define software architecture, component selection, and standards.
• Translate customer specifications into robust, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.
• Participate in testing, integration and commissioning of machine control systems.
• Provide coaching to other Software Engineers and support customers to raise project quality.
