Job summary

Allseas in Delft seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and evolve in‑house applications supporting critical maritime operations across onshore data centers, cloud environments, and edge fleets. You will own software lifecycle from code to production, balancing delivery with reliability in constrained networks.

The role spans frontend, backend, infra, and release automation, with collaboration across teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of professional experience.
• Software design using SOLID, DDD, and appropriate design patterns.
• Testing with TDD/BDD, automated tests, quality‑focused development.
• APIs & communication: HTTP, gRPC, Protobuf, OpenAPI.
• Databases: PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Messaging: NATS and event‑driven architectures.
• Security: OpenID Connect, JWT, encryption, secure SDLC.
• Delivery & operations: CI/CD, GitOps, observability, automation.
• Platforms: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Programming: Go, Python, TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Own software from initial code through deployment, monitoring, and production operations.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, infra, and release automation to deliver complete solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and apply engineering principles to solve problems.
• Build reliable software for distributed and network‑constrained environments.
• Improve development practices, tooling, automation, and developer experience.
• Work with internal teams and partners to deliver effective solutions.
• Coordinate third‑party developers and ensure delivery meets standards.
• Review external designs and integrations for compatibility with systems.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues to foster continuous improvement.
