Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer in the Netherlands. This hybrid role combines office and remote work, with 3–4 days on site. You’ll lead design, implementation, and testing of software modules for industrial food processing machines and collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a strong .NET background, Docker, Azure DevOps, Git, and deep SQL knowledge. Fluency in English and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master‘s degree in computer science or similar, or comparable work experience and knowledge.
• Experience with .NET and Docker.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing large software solutions with object-oriented programming languages, in combination with .NET software development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and good understanding of database operations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, stakeholders, and customers.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of software modules that support JBT-Marel’s vision. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including machine engineering and software platform development teams, to deliver robust and scalable solutions for industrial food processing machines.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master‘s degree in computer science or similar, or comparable work experience and knowledge.
• Experience with .NET and Docker.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing large software solutions with object-oriented programming languages, in combination with .NET software development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and good understanding of database operations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, stakeholders, and customers.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice to Have

• Background in industrial automation or machine control.
• Understanding of reliability requirements in the food industry.
• Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is advantage.
• Familiar with Agile software development frameworks and database operations.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and familiarity with PLCs.
