Job summary

Atlassian’s Core Engineering KubePlat team builds and scales the foundational compute platform powering Atlassian’s global cloud services. The role focuses on enterprise-grade, highly reliable, self-healing infrastructure spanning compute, Kubernetes control planes, CI/CD, and artifact pipelines.

Senior Software Engineer position in Amsterdam, full-time, targeting Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering excellence within a cell-based architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Platform Engineering.
• Knowledge of Core Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Kubernetes Control Plane: Design and develop core components of Atlassian’s Kubernetes control plane platform.
• Multi-Cloud Enablement: Contribute to multi-cloud infrastructure initiatives across AWS, GCP, Oasis, and FedRAMP.
• Cell-Based Architecture: Drive the adoption of cell-based architecture to deliver reliable, highly scalable Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Practical experience across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
