Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a Lead Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design and run a Cloud-native hybrid platform in the Netherlands. You will lead two teams, enable self-service, and ensure 99.99% availability while migrating workloads.

You will mentor engineers, hire, and establish best practices, perform PoC work, and design scalable cloud infrastructure. Expect energy and impact as you shape the DevOps transformation and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of working experience as Software, DevOps, Platform Engineering.
• 3+ years working with cloud, IaC and cloud engineering.
• 2+ years working with K8s.
• Technical Leadership: 1+ year.

Do you want to design and build self-service functionality on a Cloud-native hybrid cloud platform? Do you get energy from taking the technical leadership of two teams, that are responsible for international connectivity and and compute?

My client is an interesting phase now, as they are going through a big digital transformation towards a more agile/DevOps culture. Herefore they are re-hiring the platform teams. In your tribe you will work alongside Platform/Network/Cloud/Security & Site reliability engineers (15 in total), 1 PO and a engineering manager. The platform supports 35 internal DevOps and DataOps teams.

Impact is one of the words to be highlighted here. As a Lead Kubernetes platform engineer you get the chance to set-up new Kubernetes nodes, both on premise, on the edge (Talos) and in Azure (AKS). You'll design the platform to be redundant and mission critical (99.99% availability). Minutes of downtime, disrupt the global supply chain, and that means unhappy stakeholders.

A base compensation op to €105k + 10% bonus + 25+% pension scheme, 3 days WFH per week.
