Job summary

Keylane, a leading European SaaS provider for insurance, seeks a Software Architect within Axon Product Development to shape the architecture of our SaaS platform. You will guide engineers, translate complex needs into sustainable solutions, and collaborate with product owners, analysts and fellow architects in an agile environment.

You will own architectural integrity, balance delivery and long‑term health, and promote scalable, secure, maintainable systems while embracing AI‑assisted

Qualifications

• Substantial software‑engineering experience and contributed to design/evolution of large, business‑critical systems.
• Strong understanding of software-architecture principles, design patterns, modularity, integration patterns, APIs and data architecture.
• Combo of strategic architectural thinking with pragmatic, hands‑on approach, comfortable with engineering teams and source code.
• Experience with large technical ecosystems and technologies such as Java, IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, Angular and Docker, plus relational databases and SQL (DB2, PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of the software and translate business needs into sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, analysts and fellow architects to ensure architectural decisions support customers and long‑term evolution.
• Own architectural integrity of key product areas and guide teams toward scalable, secure, maintainable solutions.
• Balance short‑term delivery with long‑term health, modernisation, and reducing technical debt.
• Communicate architectural choices clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders and promote consistency across Scrum teams.
