Job summary

Flynn, a first-generation construction company with operations across Ireland, UK and Northern Europe, seeks an experienced Senior Engineer to join the Netherlands project team to manage on-site works safely and in line with drawings and Building Regulations.

You will lead day-to-day engineering tasks, ensure quality controls, liaise with consultants and subcontractors, and support delivery within programme and budget, with a clear career path to Site Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer role on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection test plans, quality documentation.
• Proficiency in setting out, surveying, levelling and site control systems.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and temporary works coordination.
• Strong numeracy and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction works on site to ensure safety, program, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee site technical & engineering requirements (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Design Team workshops).
• Ensure QA/QC measures on site align with BCAR plan and project standards.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, and planners for project delivery.
• Support PM/Contracts Manager to complete works per programme and budget.
• Identify information gaps and implement solutions with project and design teams.
