Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a Shopify Developer to build and maintain high-quality Shopify storefronts for global brands using Liquid and modern JavaScript.

You will join a hybrid team, collaborating with product, design, QA and engineering, and will contribute to estimation, code reviews and client discussions. The role emphasizes ongoing learning, testing, and delivering performant commerce solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Shopify development experience, including Shopify Plus where possible.
• Strong knowledge of Liquid templating and Shopify 2.0
• Experience with JavaScript, preferably React, and building store frontends
• Familiarity with 3rd party app integration and API usage (Storefront/API)
• Strong testing and debugging skills across browsers and devices

Responsibilities

• Build, launch and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts using Liquid and modern JavaScript.
• Develop reusable Online Store 2.0 sections and custom storefront features.
• Integrate Shopify with third-party apps, APIs and enterprise systems.
• Translate requirements into secure, accessible storefront solutions.
• Write automated tests and monitor storefront performance.
• Participate in estimation, technical discovery, code reviews and client discussions.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA and engineering teams throughout delivery.
