Job summary

TNO in The Hague is looking for a Senior Scientist in Advanced Materials to lead the Advanced Materials team, developing protective concepts for high-dynamic loads such as impact and explosions. The role involves coordinating projects with national and international partners, and advising on new materials and protection concepts for practical deployment.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably with a PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Strong consultancy and stakeholder management experience is valued.
• Experience with lightweight protection materials and composites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Advanced Materials team and drive research on protective concepts.
• Translate complex technical challenges into actionable research lines.
• Advise commissioning parties on innovations and implementation of new materials.
