ABN AMRO Bank N.V. seeks aSenior SAS Engineer to lead the SAS RCM capability within the Financial Risk Grid. You will own end-to-end performance and strategic evolution of the SAS platform in an Agile setting.

The role combines hands-on SAS administration, architecture, and cloud hosting (Azure) with stakeholder management and leadership in a diverse, international team. Flexible working from home is possible and a competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree with IT focus.
• Hands-on SAS Administrator experience (SAS 9.4+).
• Deep SAS expertise with SAS architecture and cloud hosting (Azure preferred).
• Experience managing licenses, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of SAS RCM is a plus.

Your job

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance, stability, and strategic evolution of the SAS RCM platform, ensuring it remains scalable, reliable, and future-ready. Working in an Agile environment, you will combine deep technical expertise in SAS administration, architecture, and cloud hosting (preferably Azure) with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, reducing operational complexity, driving platform improvements, and building strong internal ownership while reducing dependence on external support.

Your profile

What you bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree with an IT focus
• Strong hands‑on experience as a SAS Administrator (SAS 9.4 or later), including managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAS environments
• Deep expertise in SAS, with solid knowledge of SAS architecture and cloud hosting, preferably on Azure
• Proven ability to manage licenses, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes
• Familiar with agile way of working (scrum) and CI/CD best practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Good knowledge of SAS RCM is a big plus
