ABN AMRO is seeking a Senior SAS Engineer to lead the SAS RCM capability within the Financial Risk Grid. You will own the end-to-end performance, stability, and evolution of the SAS platform, combining hands-on SAS administration with cloud hosting (Azure) and strong stakeholder management.

Working in an Agile Scrum environment, you will collaborate with SAS Administrators, Platform Engineers and a Product Owner to deliver a stable, scalable, future‑proof solution while driving internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree with an IT focus.
• Hands-on SAS Administrator experience (SAS 9.4+).
• Deep SAS expertise including architecture and Azure hosting.
• Experience with licenses, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
• Familiar with Scrum and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication in multidisciplinary teams.

Your job

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance, stability, and strategic evolution of the SAS RCM platform, ensuring it remains scalable, reliable, and future-ready. Working in an Agile environment, you will combine deep technical expertise in SAS administration, architecture, and cloud hosting (preferably Azure) with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Your profile

What you bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree with an IT focus
• Strong hands‑on experience as a SAS Administrator (SAS 9.4 or later), including managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAS environments
• Deep expertise in SAS, with solid knowledge of SAS architecture and cloud hosting, preferably on Azure
• Proven ability to manage licenses, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes
• Familiar with agile way of working (scrum) and CI/CD best practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Good knowledge of SAS RCM is a big plus
