About the role

For a permanent position within a mission‑critical energy organization, we are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Functional Consultant. In this role, you will help shape and optimize SAP solutions that support the development of a future‑proof energy grid in the Netherlands.

You will work in a DevOps team within a scaled agile (SAFe) environment, translating complex business needs into robust SAP solutions. This role offers long‑term stability, architectural influence, and direct societal impact as part of the Dutch energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional designs, and SAP configurations.
• Configure, optimize, and support SAP S/4HANA solutions (PM, PS, SD, MM, Service Management; EPPM is a strong plus).
• Work with Fiori and SAP Work Zone to improve user experience and process efficiency.
• Analyze functional and process bottlenecks (e.g. contractor or engineering portals) and align solutions with integration teams.
• Safeguard SAP best practices, data quality, and process consistency within a SAFe/DevOps way of working.
• Share knowledge by coaching junior consultants and actively contributing to team and domain development.

Required Skills

• Senior‑level experience as a SAP Functional Consultant in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, preferably in asset‑intensive or engineering‑driven domains.
• Experience working in DevOps and SAFe environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to bridge business and IT effectively.
• Proactive, analytical, and comfortable taking ownership of solutions.
• Language requirement: Dutch at C1/C2 level (mandatory).

Compensation & benefits (permanent employment)

• Permanent contract with the client, facilitated by Talisman.
• Salary (Senior Functional): up to €6,984.90 gross per month (based on 40 hours).
• 24.5 vacation days and ABP pension.
• Personal budget of 24% (incl. 8% holiday allowance): choose extra salary or additional leave.
