With headquarters in the Randstad area and a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and people‑first culture, the company is undergoing a multi‑year transformation programme built around SAP S/4HANA, process optimisation, and data‑driven decision making.

To strengthen the internal SAP Competence Center, we are looking for an experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant who can help drive financial and controlling process excellence across the organisation.

Role Overview

As an SAP FI/CO Consultant, you will act as the primary partner for Finance and Controlling stakeholders in the Netherlands and across Europe. You will translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, participate in ongoing S/4HANA initiatives, and support continuous improvement efforts within the finance domain.

This is a hands‑on functional role, with strong involvement in process design, configuration, testing, end‑user support, and collaboration with both internal teams and external implementation partners.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Project Delivery

• Analyze, design, and implement solutions in SAP FI and CO (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO‑OM, CO‑PA, Product Costing).
• Participate in S/4HANA transformation projects, including fit‑gap analysis, process harmonisation, configuration, and migration support.
• Configure financial and controlling processes, ensuring alignment with Dutch statutory requirements and group accounting guidelines.
• Lead workshops with Finance, Controlling, and Procurement stakeholders.

Operations & Continuous Improvement

• Serve as 2nd/3rd line support for SAP FI/CO issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Propose enhancements improving automation, compliance, reporting quality, and process efficiency.
• Coordinate with offshore/onshore development teams for custom solutions or integrations.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Finance Managers, Plant Controllers, and Shared Service Centres across the Netherlands and Europe.
• Act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities.
• Support change management, documentation, and end‑user training.

Required Skills & Experience

Must‑Haves

• 3+ years of experience as SAP FI/CO Consultant in an international environment.
• Strong functional expertise in at least two FI/CO sub‑modules (e.g., AA + CO‑PA, GL + Product Costing).
• Hands‑on configuration experience in S/4HANA.
• Excellent understanding of Dutch financial regulations, IFRS standards, and month‑end/year‑end closing processes.
• Experience supporting integrations with logistics modules (MM, SD) or data/reporting platforms.

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Experience working in the Netherlands with exposure to Dutch tax requirements (BTW, Intrastat, electronic invoicing).
• Knowledge of SAP BTP, Fiori apps, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Previous involvement in global template rollouts.
• Dutch language proficiency.
