Job title: Senior SAP Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Zwolle, Netherlands

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Techno-Functional Consultant with deep expertise in the Utilities industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of SAP IS-U (Industry Specific Utilities) and ABAP development, with proven ability to bridge business requirements and technical solutions. This role emphasizes hands-on functional analysis, process mapping, solution design, and end-to-end SAP testing to ensure robust, high-quality system delivery.

Key Functional Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business requirements for utility processes (Billing, Device Management, Customer Service, etc.), translating them into detailed functional specifications.
• Lead functional workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate processes, and define solution blueprints.
• Design, configure, and implement SAP IS-U solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business objectives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop and enhance custom workflows, OData services, and interfaces between SAP IS-U and other systems (e.g., CRM, Salesforce).
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including process flows, configuration guides, and user manuals.
• Support and coordinate data migration activities, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
• Plan, design, and execute SAP testing activities, including: Developing test strategies, plans, and scripts for functional and integration testing; Coordinating and conducting unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT); Managing defect tracking, resolution, and retesting cycles; Ensuring test coverage for all business scenarios and compliance with quality standards.
• Provide functional support during go-live and post-implementation phases, including issue resolution and user training.
• Recommend improvements for SAP IS-U architecture, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an onsite-offshore setup (Netherlands & India).

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on IS-U and ABAP.
• Proven experience in Utilities industry processes (billing, invoicing, device management, market communication/data exchange, etc.).
• Expertise in SAP IS-U configuration, custom development, and enhancements.
• Strong understanding of integration scenarios with CRM and external systems.
• Demonstrated experience in SAP testing (test planning, execution, defect management).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Language Requirement

Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) and English.

Certifications

• SAP IS-U Certification
• SAP ABAP Certification(Additional certifications in SAP CRM or S/4HANA Utilities are a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP CRM or Salesforce integration.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Utilities migration scenarios.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
