Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, Omen Payload Integration, to join the Maneuver Dominance team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will design, develop, and integrate software linking autonomous platforms with mission payloads, including SMS, networked devices, and hardware interfaces.

Work spans APIs, data transport, and hardware integration, with travel up to 25% and collaboration across hardware, systems, vehicle, and payload teams to deliver mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on production C++ or Rust experience.
• Experience building software for networking devices and routers.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and ICDs (HTTP, REST, gRPC).
• Solid understanding of UDP/TCP data transport.
• Experience writing hardware interfacing software (embedded devices, sensors, payload electronics).
• Systems-level thinking and ability to work with large codebases.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to test and deploy systems.
• Experience with international suppliers/customers in the EMEA region.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable software that interfaces with networking devices and switches.
• Design and implement SMS/payload integration and control software.
• Architect APIs and ICDs using HTTP, REST, and gRPC.
• Build reliable data transport over UDP/TCP for low-latency links.
• Write hardware-interfacing code for embedded sensors and payload electronics.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, vehicle and payload teams to integrate software.
• Travel up to 25% to test and deploy systems in operational environments.
• Contribute across prototyping, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot deployed systems to ensure reliability and mission success.
