Job summary

Industries in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, Omen Payload Integration to join the Maneuver Dominance team. You will design, develop, and integrate software that connects autonomous platforms with mission payloads, including SMS and hardware interfaces.

You will architect APIs/ICDs, implement data transport via UDP/TCP, and work with embedded devices and sensors. Expect cross-functional collaboration and up to 50% travel for field testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in production-grade software in C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience building software that interacts with networking devices and hardware interfaces.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and ICDs with HTTP, REST, and gRPC.
• Solid understanding of UDP/TCP data transport.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable networked software interacting with networking devices and hardware.
• Design and integrate software interfaces with SMS and payload subsystems to coordinate release and control of mission payloads.
• Architect APIs and ICDs to connect distributed systems across vehicles, payloads, and ground stations.
• Build reliable, low-latency data transport over UDP and TCP.
• Write hardware interfacing software bridging embedded devices and sensors with autonomy software.
• Collaborate across hardware, systems, vehicle, and payload teams to integrate software into platforms.
• Travel up to 50% to test, debug, and deploy systems in operational environments.
• Contribute across the full software lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in deployed systems.
