Job summary

FeedbackFruits, an Amsterdam-headquartered edtech company, seeks a senior full-stack engineer to help us build the next version of our platform. You will own end-to-end delivery in one of our engineering squads, migrate Ember features to Rails + Hotwire, and work with PMs/designers to ship meaningful improvements for universities and students.

You’ll contribute to CI/CD, performance and reliability, and maintain integrations with Learning Management Systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Ruby on Rails as home stack
• Experience shipping production code with Rails and familiarity with Ember.js migrations to Hotwire
• Strong testing discipline using RSpec and Capybara
• User‑oriented mindset focused on delivering value to educators and students
• Comfort with legacy codebases and improving systems via CI/CD and good practices
• Clear communication, collaboration, and willingness to document decisions

Responsibilities

• Join one of our engineering squads and own full-stack delivery from backend to server-rendered UI
• Lead Ember-to-Rails + Hotwire migration, designing and shipping improved functionality
• Handle support escalations and legacy bug fixes alongside feature work
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements and deployment pipelines for more reliable releases
• Keep performance in mind across the stack
• Build and maintain integrations with Learning Management Systems using LTI and partner APIs
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
