Job summary

Medtronic plc in the Netherlands seeks a Senior R&D Engineer to develop advanced medical devices for next‑generation endoscopic therapies and minimally invasive surgery. You will work in a multidisciplinary team on design, development and testing of surgical instruments and related manufacturing processes.

You will translate complex concepts into clear technical documentation and collaborate with project managers, engineers and production teams to ensure high-performing, manufacturable solutions

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience with FEM analyses and analytical calculations.
• Strong written technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create designs, drawings, and prototypes from concept to production.
• Collaborate with managers, engineering, and production teams.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and support product development.
• Plan studies addressing life science questions in the area of expertise.
• Translate research into usable and marketable products.
