Job summary

Rentman is seeking a Senior QA Specialist for the Integrations team in Utrecht to ensure high-quality releases across API integrations. You will own test strategy, shift-left automation, and collaborate with developers to improve quality throughout the stack.

You’ll write Gherkin specs, automate with TypeScript, and manage automated regression in GitHub Actions, ensuring stable releases and robust integration tests for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA on web applications.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and integrations with external systems (Postman, Playwright API testing or similar).
• Strong exploratory testing skills with actionable bug reports.
• Defined a test strategy (what to automate, what to test manually, coverage).
• Experience running automated tests in CI (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Influencing developers with clear specs and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Join refinement with the Integrations team and write Gherkin acceptance specs.
• Test new integrations and API changes end to end across all sides.
• File clear, reproducible bug reports in Jira.
• Build and maintain automated tests in TypeScript with API, contract, and Playwright E2E tests.
• Own daily automated regression in GitHub Actions and fix flaky tests.
• Run release-day regression and OWASP ZAP scan and decide go/no-go.
• Migrate legacy tests and decide what to automate vs. manual.
• Coach developers to own tests and organize QA days.
