Job summary

Akindra Talents is seeking a Senior Python Developer (SQL) for a European organisation based in the Netherlands. The role focuses on Python development, SQL Server migration, and secure delivery within a complex enterprise environment.

The candidate will design and implement ETL processes, create Power BI reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position is on-site in The Hague, with an initial 8–9 month term and potential extension, starting 19 October 2026.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional Python/SQL or data application development experience.
• Strong Python for web development and scripting.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and VBA development and debugging.
• Experience with SQL Server and migration of legacy database solutions.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL processes for complex datasets.
• Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Strong understanding of database design, data transformation, and reporting solutions.
• Experience producing technical documentation and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, logging, auditing, and application security principles.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Use Python for the development of web solutions and scripting.
• Write and debug complex VBA solutions in Microsoft Access.
• Contribute to the migration of Access-based solutions to SQL Server and other technologies.
• Perform ETL (enhance, transform, load) on complex datasets.
• Use Power BI to provide visualization and insights.
• Liaise with other technical Teams in order to push new features/changes to production.
• Write and maintain technical documentation of the solution implemented.
• Account for secure coding practices, as well as logging and auditing features.
