Job summary

HAL24K is seeking a Senior Python Developer to maintain and develop our server-side processes, ensuring performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end and other services. You will join an international team based in our Amsterdam offices and must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience with Python and web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask or Pyramid).
• Strong understanding of scalable architectures and DD design.
• Experience with MongoDB and agile development practices.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and cloud deployments.
• Good written and verbal English in an international environment.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer responsible for maintaining and developing our server-side processes. Your primary focus will be the maintenance of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end and between server-side components. You will form part of our international team based in our Amsterdam offices and must be eligible to work in The Netherlands.

Responsibilities

Collaboration with both the engineering team and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional features

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems

Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Skills

You will require excellent written and verbal English as this is an international working environment.

Must haves:

At least 5 years experience in working with Python and at least one Python web framework such as Fast API, Flask or Pyramid.

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application such as Domain Driven Design and micro-service architecture

Familiarity with document databases such as MongoDb

Confident to work on an agile environment

Other useful skills:

Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Knack for writing clean, readable Python code

Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git

Familiarity with continuous integration

Familiarity with with Cloud deployments
