Job summary

Itproposal seeks an experienced Senior Python & AWS Serverless Developer in Amsterdam to design, develop, and maintain Python-based serverless applications on AWS. You will build scalable, event-driven systems and collaborate across teams.

You’ll work with AWS services like Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, and Glue, write complex SQL for analytics, and ensure observability with CloudWatch. The role requires 6–8 years of hands-on Python and AWS experience and a proactive, secure approach.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of professional Python development experience.
• Proven AWS serverless and automation expertise.
• Strong SQL skills for analytics and data processing.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue.
• Experience building APIs and integrations with AWS Gateway + Lambda.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging in CloudWatch.
• Ability to work in fast-paced digital environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based serverless applications on AWS.
• Build and optimize cloud workflows using Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, and Athena.
• Develop APIs and integrations using API Gateway, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
• Implement secure and scalable data solutions using S3, DynamoDB, and IAM.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics and data processing.
• Ensure observability and reliability through CloudWatch monitoring and logging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud-native solutions.
• Follow best practices in coding, documentation, CI/CD, and cloud automation.
