Job summary

Ahold Delhaize is seeking a Manager Public Affairs to operate at the intersection of politics, society and business, shaping the company's voice in policy discussions in the Netherlands. You will join the Public Affairs team and work with regulatory affairs, sustainability, and communications to position Ahold Delhaize with policymakers and industry associations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Public Affairs in the Dutch Parliament or government.
• Strong network within politics, government and key stakeholder organizations.
• Experience in lobbying and policy influencing at national and EU levels.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Dutch communication skills.
• Strong strategic thinking to translate complex policy issues into clear messages and actionable steps.

Responsibilities

• Advise on public affairs related to government, politics, regulators and stakeholders.
• Develop and communicate PA positions and strategies.
• Monitor policy changes and assess impact.
• Represent Ahold Delhaize in policy discussions in the Netherlands.
• Provide strategic policy advice to senior leadership and engage with stakeholders.
• Organize meetings with politicians and officials.
• Position the company as a trusted partner with Dutch stakeholders.
