Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee complex oil & gas projects. The role requires leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing plans, schedules, budgets, and ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.

You will coordinate between engineering, procurement and construction, perform risk and feasibility analyses, review technical docs, and maintain strong client and regulator relationships while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering in oil & gas.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Oversee coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to meet project requirements.
• Conduct and oversee advanced technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
• Monitor and drive progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet milestones.
• Lead the review of technical documentation ensuring compliance with standards, safety regulations, and policies.
• Act as liaison with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies for clear communication across project phases.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the project engineering team for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior project engineers and support their development.
