Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Product Manager to shape the future of version control workflows across our IDEs, defining a clear vision for VCS, code-change workflows, and AI-assisted processes.

You will work with engineering, design, marketing, developer advocacy, and IntelliJ Platform teams to balance user value and platform health, while shaping external positioning and driving adoption across environments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the product direction for technically complex developer tools (SCM/CI/CD/code collaboration).
• Ability translating intricate developer workflows into clear product roadmaps.
• Experience uniting stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, and developer advocacy.
• Deep understanding of version control mechanics and code-change workflows.
• EU-based with travel to offices; remote within EU preferred.
• Familiarity with advanced version control scenarios such as complex merges and monorepos.

Responsibilities

• Set long-term product strategy for VCS across all IDEs.
• Identify gaps in developer workflows and define new directions in VCS.
• Explore cross-IDE VCS clients, host-neutral reviews, and AI-native review/workflows.
• Gather community/industry feedback to guide priorities.
• Align roadmap decisions across product, engineering, design, marketing, advocacy, partnerships, and customer teams.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA leads to balance user value and platform health.
• Represent VCS direction in conversations with customers and the developer tools community.
